The Last Cucumber
by Gabrielle Stewart

Long ago, there was a winged moose named Sechnor(SEK-norr) who
was on his way to Stonehenge. He knew tae-kwon-do and knew how to communicate
with telepathy. Another was on his way to Stonehenge. He was a kangaroo rat and his
name was Mizar(MEE-zarr). He knew how to use telepathy too.

When Sechnor got to Stonehenge, he saw an odd kind of rodent sitting there. In tele-
pathy, he asked,"What are you doing here?" The rodent answered, "I am Mizar, and
I am looking the map that shows the way to the last cucumber in existence."
Sechnor replied, "So am I! Will you help me?" The cucumber was being looked for by
Nargog(NARR-gog) an evil lion who wanted it EXTINCT. Sechnor and  Mizar both
wanted to save it from Nargog. So Mizar kangaroo-jumped onto Sechnor's back, and
they flew off to The Dead Sea, where the map had indicated the cucumber was.

When Sechnor was beginning to land, he and Mizar both noticed a feline-like figure
standing at the shore. Sechnor flew down and tackled the feline. Nargog roared in anger
as Sechnor utilized his tae-kwon-do abilities. After Sechnor took care of Nargog, Mizar
scampered over to the cucumber and grabbed it. Then the two friends flew off with it.

After they got back to Sechnor's home, Mizar planted the cucumber in Sechnor's garden.
In time, they grew and grew and grew and grew and GREW. And THAT is why
cucumbers still exist today.
